Does your heart need protecting? Or are you willing to connect?

Have you ever felt like you've needed to keep your heart protected or maybe you're even feeling that right now?

I know I have (and still do)!
This is a piece I've been exploring for a LONG time.

In a workshop I took one of my meditation teachers, John Prendergast said "Your heart is indestructible". This hit me hard.

I've been aware of the fact that I protect my heart for some time now.
I was familiar with what felt like a wall that provided protection and allowed me to stay safe. I was aware of the fear that would arise when there was chance of exposure. I had just never thought of my heart as indestructible.
It was then that I realized that all these things I was experiencing weren't actually my heart but my survival patterns that were there fulfilling their role to "serve and protect".

As a result I realized that my heart itself didn't actually need any protection. And that in turn, my heart could actually support me in my journey as I explore being vulnerable and being seen in my truth.

Believe me...this is still a big work in progress, but the more I reveal and work through the layers of this, the more I've been able to find deep connection with myself and friends. The word connection means and feels like something so much more expansive now. I'm excited for it to continue to deepen.

In this video I share a little bit about my own experience with this and give some tips on how to explore this piece around protecting your heart less and less so that you can move towards connection more and more.

I hope it invites in curiosity, insight and opening for you!

Love,
Nicole
